AUGUST 2008
Ocean Obsession II

Are you tired of cleaning your boat and tackle after a long hot day of fishing? Wouldn’t it be nice to let someone else fuel up the boat, get it ready and do all the cleaning when you’re done? Do you dream of kicking back, drinking a cold beverage while someone else cleans the fish?

Well, we here at Sunrise Marina have the answer for you. Take a ride on the Ocean Obsession II. Fishing has picked back up and I can tell you from experience, a ride on the party boat is a relaxing fun day. Between the mates and the other passengers there is always entertainment to keep you smiling and you can catch fish too.

The OOII as we call it, does full day fishing trips, leaving the dock at 8 am and returning at 5 pm. You can purchase a meal ticket for a full breakfast and lunch or bring your own cooler.

We also offer night time shark trips on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Another great way to enjoy letting someone else do the work. Not to mention OOII has a cool new T-shirt to commemorate the Shark Trip. Looking for something to do with the kids before they go back to school? This is the trip and they will love the T- Shirt.

FYI

DITTO... Our tropical storm season has been extremely quiet but please remember, that can change very quickly. Please have an evacuation plan ready as the Port Authority will require all vessels to leave the Port at 36 hours from a possible strike.
FISHING FORECAST

For the divers, Lobster season starts August 6th.

As you well know, SMOKERS ARE HERE!! August is prime-time for these large, hungry, aerobatic kings, termed, SMOKERS (term derived from cooking process, not necessarily what they do to a reel!!) The key to success is netting live menhaden (pogies), a feat sometimes much more difficult than catching the kings. That’s part of the whole fishing experience (RIGHT?).

Elsewhere, trolling offshore can be very sporadic with a mixture of sail, dolphin, and wahoo still possible.

Bottom fishing will range from good to terrible depending on the bottom water temperature which can plummet to the 40's for a brief time. Inshore, tripletail, tarpon, snook and flounder will continue to be good.

GRILLS Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar

As usual Grills is hopping with entertainment and fun. After you get the fish and boat cleaned, stop by, say hello, have a drink, relax and enjoy.

HAPPY ENDINGS

See you on the docks!
Robin, and the rest of the Crew!
