New Marina

I'd like to give you a sneak preview of the new site plan. The existing tackle store show is the block building that sits underneath the existing metal building. At the present time, we are in the process of building a two-story office/prep facility. Once this is complete the metal building will be completely removed.

The second phase of this project will be the erection of the two three-sided boat storage racks that will house approximately 150 boats.

This new layout will give our charter boats high visibility on the front/north side of the marina as well as allow vendors and customers to pull off of Flounder Drive for delivery and pickup which will permit a better traffic flow.

NEW MARINA FACILITY
January 2004

As you all know, we are “a little” behind our expected construction times. However, we are still trudging along to complete all of our projects.

For those of you who haven’t seen, we have new fish cleaning tables that a jeweler would be proud of! (Thanks go to Bob and Canaveral Boatwerks, Great Job!) Please come by, take a look and clean your catch for the day. The tables were completed in December of 2003.

Also completed in December was the installation of the underground fuel tanks and the new fueling station on the seawall, which includes both unleaded and diesel now.

To get ready for the new docks we have installed new decking around the fueling island, the fish cleaning tables and down the backside of grills.

If you haven’t seen all of our improvements, you need to come by to visit us.

The new docks are being installed as I write this update and we hope to be completed with them by the middle of February, 2004.

As for the new facility, I am still working with the architects and engineers to finalize the drawings. I plan to have the final drawings in the hand of the general contractor by the end of January 2004. I believe our original date for ground breaking was August 2003, however, we all know that didn’t happen! I’m as tired of talking and hearing about this as you are, but as you see, things are finally coming together and I am confident that we will be breaking ground by this August. Cross your fingers and wish me luck!

New Marina Facility

January 2003

Many of you have heard rumors regarding major renovations at our marina facility....They are all true folks!

New Fueling Facility:
Jan/Feb. 2003

The new fueling facility will include two diesel pumps (one higher volume pump for the big boys) and a Gas pump on the floating piers, one diesel and gas pump on the seawall. More pumps .... less time waiting in line .... MORE TIME FISHING!

New Sunrise Marina Facility:
Groundbreaking is expected August 2003
Opening expected January 2004

The facility floor plan has been completed as well as some of the preliminary approvals from our friends at the Canaveral Port Authorities Office. The architect is currently working on a full set of blueprints and elevations for the final application to the port.
