Tournament Weigh In Results

Another awesome turnout and fun tournament for the 2016 Ed Dwyer Otherside Invitational.  All proceeds from raffle prizes and sponsorship is donated to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America.

Each year Central Florida’s top tuna fisherman compete against one another in hopes of capturing the Top Boat title by accumulating the largest 3 tuna aggregate weight. Hundreds of spectators attend the “weigh in” to see the giant yellowfin tuna wheeled to the stage and to be a part of the energy and excitement. Each year spectators walk away with handfuls of giveaways during Capt. Ed’s infamous brain teasers and thousands of dollars in raffle items donated by the generous sponsors of this event.

Seas were a little rough on Friday Night and Saturday but there were some brave soles who ventured out and came back to provide us with some excellent entertainment here at Sunrise Marina on Mother’s Day.

Skippy:  Money Shot – 16.7#

Billfish Release:  Adventurous – Blue Marlin Sailfish

Top Lady Angler:  Adventurous (way to go Navina Jaensch) – 67.7#

Smallest Wahoo:  Reel Deal 16.8#

Thanks to Ed and Candy Dwyer and their team of volunteers for pulling all this together!  It takes a lot of work to put these tournaments together and they do a great job.
